Why learn Vedic Meditation?
People come to Vedic Meditation for all sorts of reasons. You may be looking for a way to feel less stressed, sleep more deeply, think more clearly or simply find a little more calm in a busy life.
With regular practice, many people find they feel calmer, better rested and more able to focus. Sleep may improve, everyday tasks can feel easier to manage, and there can be a greater sense of energy, happiness and wellbeing.
But perhaps one of the loveliest things about Vedic Meditation is its simplicity.
There’s no need for a special room, equipment or perfectly quiet surroundings. Once you’ve learnt the technique, your meditation goes wherever you go. At home, travelling, at work or sitting in a park if you can sit comfortably, you can meditate.
It becomes something that belongs naturally within your everyday life, rather than something you have to arrange your life around.

What makes Vedic Meditation different?
Simple. Effortless. No concentration required.
Vedic Meditation is a simple, effortless practice that doesn't require you to control your thoughts, concentrate on your breath or focus on an image or sensation.
Instead, you sit comfortably with your eyes closed and use a simple mantra taught to you personally when you learn. There is no need to force the mind to be quiet or try to stop thoughts.
The practice allows the mind to settle naturally, while the body moves into a deeply restful state.
Practised for around 20 minutes, twice a day, Vedic Meditation is designed to fit easily into everyday life.
